We offer financial assistance programs for those patients who qualify and whose insurance does not cover all or part of the cost of this test. This has been designed to ensure access to this test for any patient for whom their physician believes it is medically necessary.

The miR Sentinel™ Prostate Cancer Test is advanced technology for which most insurance companies have not yet established coverage policies. If your insurance carrier refuses to pay for all, or a portion of the cost of your test, MiRNA Scientific representatives will work with you to submit an appeal.
MiRNA Scientific is committed to completing up the maximum allowable number of appeals, including submission to your insurer’s independent medical review, if available. The actual number of appeals allowed by your carrier depends upon your individual plan and is determined when the appeal process begins. We may ask you and your physician to assist in the process as needed. In some instances, you may need to submit the appeals yourself and we will provide any assistance you need, or you may need to provide authorization for us to represent you.
